2011 Sea Girt Craft Market & RadCakes Coupon!

This coming weekend is the Sea Girt Craft Market. It’s our 4th year doing the event and it’s a great opportunity to get all of your Christmas shopping done ahead of time (or you can just buy a bunch of stuff for yourself like you usually do). Lanes for Zanes Fundraiser!

Our good friends, the Zanes, had triplets last year. One of their children has been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Please come out for a fun-filled night of bowling to help support the Zane family! RadCakes has donated 50 shirts that will be for sale at the event. Even if you can’t make the event, any contribution to the family would be very much appreciated. The Lanes for Zanes event is taking place on Sunday, September 18th, at The Lanes at Sea Girt at 6:0pm. All event information is detailed below on the flyer. We hope to see you there!

The RadCakes Skeleton Crew places 3rd at the Great Ocean Raft Race in Avon, NJ

On Monday, August 1st, the RadCakes Skeleton Crew competed in the Great Ocean Raft Race in Avon, New Jersey. This was the team’s first year entering the race and they placed 3rd out of 14 teams. The team’s Grateful Dead themed shirts coincidentally coincided with Jerry Garcia’s 69th birthday, which turned out to be a huge hit with the crowd. The Skeleton Crew was also fortunate to make the cover of the local newspaper, The Coast Star. The race would not have been possible without the generous support of Standup Paddle NJ, who supplied us with all of our paddles.

The Fun Bus is here!

A long time RadCakes supporter from the start, Jess (pictured below), has taken on a new venture with The Fun Bus. As she explains, The Fun Bus is an established program that believes in fitness, while enhancing learning already going on inside the classroom, using a hands-on approach to coordination, listening skills, physical fitness, social skills, and gross-motor skills. All of this takes place on a bus that NEVER moves with the children on it and promises to make it FUN!
The FUN BUS is geared to children aged 2-7. They do fitness fun activities with a variety of gymnastic equipment: tumbling mats, parallel bars, trampoline, swings, etc. The bus is heated and air conditioned to provide a climate controlled environment.
