Yesterday we were very fortunate to acquire two limited edition Peter Max prints. Each is individually signed by Mr. Max and numbered 122/300. His art and colors are a huge influence in our own designs. The left print is titled A Better World and the right print is titled Cosmic Runner. Check out his website, you might recognize some of his work.

The making of Guns N’ Roses custom designed Vans (time lapse video)

Check out our newest Custom Designed Vans. Our customer wanted Guns N’ Roses themed shoes, so we threw a bunch of guns, roses, and skulls onto the canvas. This time lapse video shows the process we went through to create them. The soundtrack is by Gnalwedge Records. Custom Vans or Keds make the perfect Christmas gift, but they take time to make since they’re all done by hand. Please order ahead of time to ensure they’re completed by December 25th!

Rawson, from Honolulu, Hawaii, contacted us about designing custom trucker hats for her team that’s participating in the Hana Relay Race. The team is The Squids and she wanted each runner to have a hat reflecting their unique personality. Good luck to The Squids!

ATTACKING JELLYFISH VANS!

These colorfully patterned Vans Slip Ons were custom designed for Sloane. She gave us free range to design the shoes however we wanted, with the one requirement that we fill the entire shoe canvas with colors and patterns. With that in mind, we went to town with some fabric markers and this is what happened (find out how to get your own custom pair here):

Chris Georgalas uses our silkscreens for his new artwork

Artist Chris Georgalas recently purchased a carload of old silkscreens from RadCakes in order to use them for his multimedia works. Above is Goergalas’ piece, “All I Needed to Know in Life I Learned in The Ocean”, which was created with two RadCakes silkscreens. Although it’s difficult to see what the bottom silkscreen was previously used for, you can clearly see that the top silkscreen was used for the SummerTime Surf camper shirts.

On Wednesday, July 14th at 7:30pm, make sure to check out Chris Georgalas’ art opening at John Allan’s Downtown Location in New York City. There will be artwork for sale, live painting, live music, and plenty of recycled RadCakes silkscreens!
